On Saturday, November 4th, we held Classroom Central Field Day at Memorial Stadium. The event was a day of nostalgic field day games, food and family fun. Corporate sponsors and the community had a blast participating in the festivities together.
If you missed it, we wanted to provide a pictorial recap:
Bea Thompson kicked off Opening Ceremonies, despite some antics by Homer from The Charlotte Knights
A few special students who won a Classroom Central Drawing Contest marched in with the Crayon Torch to start the events. For more on their drawings, see tomorrow’s blog post.
Morgan Davis from Carmel Middle sung the Star Spangled Banner.
Corporate & Family Teams competed in the Field Day Challenge. Competition was very intense as you can see!
Meanwhile, everyone enjoyed the kids fun area and concessions:
The mascots were up to their usual antics and entertained the crowd:
In the end, we awarded a Corporate winner, Two Men And A Truck, and a Family Winner, the Ruler Renegades.
We captured this video as well which shows some of the fierce competitors.
More photos can be seen on our Facebook page, as well as our Flickr page (where they can also be downloaded).
Thanks to our Corporate Sponsors for making this happen!
