Carolinas Healthcare System employees have been longstanding volunteers and supporters of Classroom Central.

However, they gave us some special love during Martin Luther King week in January for their Week of Service.  Teams came to help every day that week with store stocking, packing, and teacher shopping.

We were fortunate to host 35 of their staff members, who gave over 100 volunteer hours.  During that week, thanks to their help, we were able to serve 267 teachers in high needs schools, distributing over $60,000 in product for them to provide to students living in poverty.

Cherie Hicks, of Carolinas Heathcare System, said, “My volunteer experience was easy and fun! I really enjoyed knowing that I was helping to support teachers dedicated to providing meaningful learning opportunities to kids in our area!”

They really brought joy to their work and we are so appreciative about the time they dedicated to Classroom Central that week.
