What Do Classroom Central Volunteers Do?

At Classroom Central, we have the most amazing volunteer support system. Since we just have a staff of eleven, we rely on our volunteers to help us achieve our mission. Our volunteer spotlights are a way of showcasing those individuals and groups.

Classroom Up

Classroom Up is our innovative new online ordering system that allows teachers to shop online for school supplies for their students in poverty.  In January 2015, we will serve all 160 of the Charlotte Mecklenburg schools and plan for expansion to further geographical regions.

The Free Store

Classroom Central's Free Store is one of four programs we have for reaching students in poverty.  It is the largest program and allows educators in high-needs schools to shop for free school supplies for their students who cannot afford them.

Volunteer Love: July & August

Keeping our programs running would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and corporate partners.  In fact, we had several programs launching in August (Backpacks & Basics distributions, our Mobile Free Store visiting 5 districts, and our Free Store opening) that required a lot of manpower and hard work!  We wanted to share a few images of the volunteer groups that helped us in July/August 2014.
